Representación matemática en el Colegio de Doctores y Licenciados de Madrid (1899 - 1949)

Los Colegios de Doctores y Licenciados en Filosofía y Letras y en Ciencias son, esencialmente, los Colegios profesionales de profesores. Velan por el ejercicio y defensa de la profesión docente, así como por la función social y la calidad de la enseñanza. En este artículo se demuestra que la representación matemática en la Junta directiva del Colegio de Madrid durante los primeros cincuenta años de su existencia ha sido muy importante. De los ilustres matemáticos que ocuparon tales cargos se realiza además un resumen, tanto de su obra matemática como de sus aportaciones a la vida colegial.
